The Preiss Company takes great pride in its communities. Each of our properties' staff are available for your student and are just a phone call away. Our company specializes in student housing and train our staff on how to effectively and properly respond to any situation that may arise. Our local property managers are supported by leasing, business, and maintenance personnel along with our professionally trained staff. Many of our offices and staff are on-site and we have expert maintenance ready to assist your student with any of your students needs.
With Individual Leases, YOU are only responsible for Your (or your student's) rent. You aren’t liable for your roommates' rent at all! Unlike a traditional lease or a joint lease, if your roommate transfers, graduates, or fails to pay his/her rent, it does not affect you or your lease. College students have enough to worry about. An individual lease is one less thing!
In our effort to create a more enjoyable living environment for the student renter, we now require all residents to carry an active renter's insurance or tenant liability policy during their lease term. Requiring basic liability coverage has become a common practice in apartment living to provide peace of mind and protection from the unforeseen events that sometimes occur. Our required tenant liability coverage works to protect the resident from liability exposure created while your student is away from home, including but not limited to negligent damage to the apartment unit, negligent damage to another resident's property or even injuries to guests while visiting. Or if you choose to enroll in a more robust renter's insurance policy, you may be able to protect belongings such as text books, phones, electronics and other valuables in the event of theft or destruction. As long as your chosen policy meets the minimum coverage outlined in your lease agreement, feel free to pick any provider you feel is the best fit for you. If you don't feel like searching for an insurance provider, we offer an easy way to enroll in the minimum liability only coverage as part of your rent payment. If you know you want additional coverage on your belongings but don't want to shop around, we have identified a national insurance provider specializing in student renter's insurance coverage. EPremium Insurance has agreed to provide a comprehensive policy to residents at our communities at a preferred group rate! Suites on Paseo offers FREE Roommate Matching Services to all of our residents. You (or your student) won't have to worry about finding a roommate online or flyering the entire campus. We'll do all of the work! All you have to do is fill out our comprehensive roommate matching form and our professionally trained Roommate Matching staff will find the best roommate for you!
Don't worry about hiring movers or renting a truck, we are fully-furnished at The Suites On Paseo! The days of moving a bed up a flight of stairs are long gone... just bring your personal items and you're set!
All of our residents and their guarantors have access to their property's online resident portal, helping you and them keep up to date with their life here in San Diego! You or your student can pay rent online via checking or savings account, set up automatic monthly payments, and submit maintenance requests, all with just a few clicks of your mouse!
Each room comes complete with a mini-fridge (2 are provided in the Twin Fin and Pipeline) & a microwave. You are more than welcome to bring a hot plate or other cooking devices (toaster, coffee maker, etc.) If you're not in the mood to prep food for yourself, we have a wonderful Bistro on site that provides a variety of hearty meals and grab-and-go options!
Yes we do! It's so convenient to walk downstairs from your room and grab a home cooked meal. Plus there's no hassle of cleaning up!
Please note that we do recommend starting with a smaller meal plan and upgrading later on if you find you need a more inclusive plan. Keep in mind that you cannot downgrade or remove your meal plan once it has been added to your lease.
Only service animals are permitted at The Suites on Paseo with valid qualifying documentation.
We have a 24-hour laundry facility right on site!
Unfortunately, we do not offer month-to-month lease options at The Suites on Paseo.
We might! Click on the "LEASE NOW" button located on our homepage to check our availability! You can also contact our friendly leasing office. If you are moving into an occupied double or triple occupancy unit, we will need to give the current residents 24 hours notice prior to move-in.
Nope! Anyone who qualifies is more than welcome at The Suites on Paseo, but our location is ideal for SDSU students.
You are unable to cancel your lease, however you are permitted to "re-let" your room to another qualifying individual (please contact our office for details.)
Your mattress and bed frame are provided, but each resident will need to bring their own pillows, bedding, towels, shower curtain, toiletries, etc.
We're more than happy to offer our residents FREE printing! Just e-mail your document to email@example.com (during regular office hours) with PRINT in the subject line!

We do! Our single parking spaces are currently $120/month and a tandem space is $60/month. Please contact our office for current rates and availability.
A tandem parking spot is extra-long so that it can accommodate 2 vehicles. We will exchange your contact information with your assigned parking mate so that you can coordinate your schedules accordingly.
Typically not...but with us it can! We offer a program called RentTrack; this program allows for on-time rent payments to reflect positively on your credit report. With the hustle and bustle of balancing classes and a healthy social life, we know that most college students don’t even think about building their credit history until after graduation when it’s time to start taking those big life steps. RentTrack offers a way for busy students like you to get a head start!
When you enroll in the RentTrack program, your on-time monthly rent payments will be reported to all 3 major credit bureaus (on-time payments are anything within 30 days of the due date). If you’re already a current resident and want to enroll, you’re in luck! Up to 24 months of your previous on-time rent payments can be reported to help you build that score even more (small fee applies for this option). The enrollment process is very easy! You can do it directly through your resident portal!
